xyunya is right. It’s a sad matter. I for one drives the SX4 hatch everyday to work and it’s a great safe economical car that’s popular around the world. Their operation in US needs to get their acts together.

In defense of Suzuki- the SX4 sport is an amazing little ride… the 17′ stand. alloys,all wheel drive, tiny price tag, and fully transferable warranty are making it harder to laugh at in a time where everything costs more… For people that would prefer to spend their money elsewhere than a car payment- it makes more sense. Even better news is that Korea will be out of the picture- Suzuki’s returning to Japan… they are fazing out the lame ducks like forenza and reno.. Keep and open mind- the new V6 of 2011 is a formidable entry

Guys, they are making pretty good cars. I tried (for kicks & giggles) SX4 hatch with a stick and it felt very solid. Strong motor, OK handling. And for 15-16K it is an all wheel drive car with all desired options. This car finished Subaru’s dominance as 4 wheel drive and it is cost a fraction of Suby’s price.

Unfortunately for Suzuki, they are not in the position to select most respectful operators, and got stuck with GM suggested ones (at least that what I see in my ‘hood). All GM dealers have Suzuki next to them, but different lot/roof. As a result you get your basic highway thieves with somewhat of a license to do so.

Thus is what happens when your dealerships overcharge for the cars. I went the other week to check out the SX4 sedan… a decent car for the price… but the dealership had tacked on $6000 worth of “special” paint and interior protectants to every car on the lot. I ran my finger over the paint, then laughed in the salesman’s face… that car had never even seen a wash or wax. Adding $6k to a car that cost $12k to begin with is rediculous. I could maybe see that kind if premium at a BMW or Mercedes dealership… but this is Suzuki for cryin out loud!
