You are all complete asses. The Camaro will be king when it comes out and people are still going to flock to it no matter if GM releases it in 2009 or 2019. It is a winner as far as people are concerned with massive power on a rigid, durable and reliable chassis and quality that will put a POS Mercedes to shame. GM will sell each and every one of them that they can build, get your orders in early or you’re screwed.

Camaro like always will be an instant classic. Can’t say that about your POS BMW or Audi.

You fools need to get with the program.

I also prefer the Camaro over the Challenger. Having said that, most of us enthusiasts have seen pictures of the production Challenger or have even seen it at auto shows while only top level GM executives have seen the new Camaro and know exactly how it will look. Ultimately, it would be nice to own both.

I think they doing this so they can see how the Challenger will do once on the market. If the cars a let done they might only then decided to do a limited edition run with the Camero. Even though people are gone nuts over the retro look of the Challenger, feelings might change once they see the insurance premium, fuel costs, maintenance issues and how the government continues with the whole emission business.

Me personally, I prefer the Camero over the Challenger but then thats my opinion.

While I like the new Camaro, I think 100,000 sales is woefully optimistic. If they had gotten it to market sooner, maybe they’d have gotten near 100k first year sales, but hell, it’s going to be an “old” car at launch cuz they’ve been dragging it out so long. The platform, powertrain, etc are already developed essentially, so what is taking them so long to finish this thing already? Looks like GM is still a big, old, dinosaur of a company, just when I thought they were getting their crap together…

I don’t mind the Camaro. Now with so many 70′s/80′s looking vehicles coming out of GM and Chrysler these days, surely a CHiPs mini-series is on the horizon. I’d love to see a new Camaro barrel rolling down the side of some off-ramp or whatever, being chased by Poncho on his trusty bike

It’s just a ploy to keep the resale values higher. I’m really wondering if anyone’s still going to care. The last gen Camaro/Firebird were pretty nice cars and they still got the axe. Not that much has changed in 6 years.

Watch there’s going to be another LLN article coming out like a day later saying actually now GM is saying the Camaro is coming out in 2015. If that happens then I will be looking into a Challenger.
