Proof doesn’t come much better than this: A European Tesla owner racked up 100,000 kilometers (around 62,000 miles) on his Tesla Roadster, making it the highest-mile EV ever for the California upstart.

The Roadster was the 83rd delivered in Europe, where it ended up in Hansjörg von Gemmingen’s Karlsruhe, Germany garage.

von Gemmingen, a stockbroker, uses the Roadster for virtually all of his driving, which explains the high mileage for a Roadster that is less than two years old. He has gone as far as ensuring that his 82-year-old grandmother has a 240-volt charging station at her house.

He already completed an 800-kilometer trek to Berlin last year for a Tesla owner’s event.

As long as you have somewhere to plug in for a bit along the way, it’s simple to drive the car no matter where you’re headed,” he said.

So far, Tesla has made about 1,600 Roadsters, although the EV manufacturer declined to mention any other mileage milestones.

Tesla coming to Denver
In other Tesla news, the automaker will open its second showroom in Colorado and its second shopping mall store tomorrow when sets up shop in Lone Tree, Colorado, a suburb southeast of Denver.

Located inside the mall near a Nordstrom’s department store, the showroom is designed to feel more like an Apple store than a traditional dealership. Tesla opened a mall showroom earlier this year in San Jose, California, and it says it has already had about 40,000 visitors.

The Lone Tree location replaces Tesla’s previous store in Boulder, about half of an hour northeast of Denver.
