Detroit-brand sedans were notably absent on last month's top 10 best-sellers list, which included a mix of import-brand crossovers and sedans in addition to the expected full-size pickup trucks.

Not surprisingly, Ford's F-Series had a commanding lead over the Chevrolet Silverado for first place (even if the identical GMC Sierra was included, the F-Series comes out on top).

By the numbers, the next three cars to round out the top 13 were the Honda Civic (21,546), Ford Focus (19,736) and all three variants of the Toyota Prius (18,932). The highest-performing European car was the Volkswagen Jetta (14,750).
