Forbes has compiled a list of the least safe cars for 2006. With an average base price of $15,323 and no prices higher than $19,555, the six cars come from Hyundai, Kia and Suzuki. Hyundai’s Elantra, Kia’s Optima and Suzuki’s Forenza sedans were among the vehicles that achieved ratings of “poor.” Forbes also points out that some some luxury cars this year have subpar crash-test scores as well. The Jaguar X-Type sedan and the Infiniti G35 received one “poor” rating each, according to the report. The Infiniti G35 received a poor rating for its rear-collison head restraint safety. The Jaguar received one poor side-impact rating for torso protection, and poor head restraint scores.
