In February, we brought you Volkswagen’s hilarious “Un-Pimp your ride” TV commercials. The ads feature German engineers at VW smashing “pimped” economy cars, and replacing them with the new GTI. We’ve since found a great video showing some clips of the making of the commercials. The action can be seen after the jump…

The video didn’t show anything new or interesting. I thought there’d be interviews or something like that. This just looks like a middle school kid’s class project.

That is one dangerous looking commercial, car parts flying everywhere. It looks like they just got lucky on safety, that no parts actually flew into a person.
