Thieves steal, crash rare Ford GT

Car thieves in Manteca, CA made off with a rare $160,000 Ford GT before crashing it after only three miles. The break-in took place Tuesday morning around 4 a.m. They kicked in the back door, came down the hallway, then used crowbars to open the other doors,” said Waterford. From there they “broke open a safe and found the keys to the car.” In order to start the GT, the thieves had to jump the battery, which was dead. In order to get the car out of the showroom, the thieves had to push a Mustang belonging to rapper 50 Cent out of the way. They also used a Lincoln Navigator to ram through the security fence. The Ford GT was recovered, but suffered some serious damage. The dealership has offered a $10,000 reward to anyone who can identify the thieves.
