Honda will unveil its third FCX concept car at the Los Angeles auto show in December, the automaker announced Friday. The FCX series has been used by the Honda to showcase its latest hydrogen fuel-cell offerings, and the newest concept will be built around a third-generation powertrain. A cool concept, but I hope it doesn’t go any farther than that.

I don’t like it. This is a misstep, Honda. Leave the POS designing to Toy Ota, they’re accomplishing it wonderfully so far…*cough*Yaris*cough*… ;-)

Stunning? Good Styling? Cool Concept? What has happened to peoples taste these days? This thing looks like a squashed minivan. If people keep reacting like sheep to everything that the car designers put out and say is cool, then we will keep having these ugly, boring, lame duck cars to choose from. People do not realize that a car does not have to be shaped like this and the Prius to be aerodynamic and fuel efficient. I would like to actually see something come out that has style. Sure, everyone has different ideas of what a car’s style would be, but come on, this surely can’t be it.

I like it! Finally, a car that looks like it *is* the future, and not some throwback to the late 1960’s and early 1970’s from a bunch of burn-out car designers. You geezers need to put the Kansas concert shirts away permanently — this machine looks fantastic.

Very nice styling, more importantly great concept. Can’t wait for H2 cars to get to the market. It looks like it cuts through the air like a hot knife in butter. Honda is finally making nice looking cars, as oppesed to great cars with so so styling.

It’s another step towards amazing future technologies wrapped in a shell. Ignore the shell and concentrate on the technology and you may be more impressed.

“The FCX series has been used by the Honda to showcase its latest hydrogen fuel-cell offerings, and the newest concept will be built around a third-generation powertrain.”

This car isn’t built based on looks, it’s based on the powertrain, so I really don’t think Honda cares (nor the rest of us readers) whether you guys think it’s ugly.

It’s like the Volksagen W12, meant just to showcase the W12 engine. The car never produced, but the engine is in many high-performance luxury car and works great.
