The title is misleading, the cars themselves aren’t “gay”-in the terms many immature people use the word. The editor or whoever posted this article should change it.

I wonder if the car companies have a problem with this list as it will deter straight homophobic men from buying these cars.

Funny how the Caliber is on here, being that they add campaign is decidedly un-gay.

Although I’m not gay, I do have numerous gay friends. With few exceptions I’ve noticed most are well educated with good jobs and, obviously, have no familes. Needless to say they have the bucks. I’m thinkin’ that if I were a car manufactured and this population liked my product.. awesome. Buy it up!

I find this all quite funny. But the Sky? Now it’ll be fruity like the Miata (Sorry, MX-5). I really wanted one… and wait one gosh darn second. What about the Pontiac Solstice? Thats much more “gay friendly” than the Sky. At least my Grand Cherokees arent on there.

Don’t they use a little fairy flying around in one of their commercials? Was that sarcasm you wrote above and I just couldn’t tell?

I suspect that there are plenty of gays that drive / like big trucks and SUVs…they just wouldn’t be caught dead on a web site called “gaywheels”. They’re all on LLN like any upstanding auto enthusiast.

LOL, usually the ones screaming “ewww cancel my car order since gays rsearched these autos” are usually the closet cases anyway….Who cares….what do most African Americans search? How about Latin Americans….. or how about Catholic tastes versus Baptist wishes? All of this is a bunch of BS anyway. I don’t give two cents on who buys what….I buy what I like cause I think its a good product.

The whole subject matter is ridiculous. How can a car be gay-friendly? All the list says is that their readers are looking at those listed the most (and some are pretty sensible choices). It’s funny the subject has garnered such a response!

PS The sky is not as good looking as the Solstice. Too bad they don’t cram a small-block into that puppy!

#39, i don’t think the cars are particularly “gay friendly” per se, but instead just indicative of buying trends as reported by gay owners.

here in LA, i see lots of gay dudes in Beetles, so it surprises me that it’s not on the list. in fact, the ONLY people i see driving them are gay dudes and haggy, decidedly non-MILF middle-aged women. kind of a corvette / youth-extension vehicle for the estrogen set.

miatas, definitely. jetta is more of a bay area granola-mobile, armpit-shaving optional. prius – see “pious” from the South Park episode. absolutely perfect.

I think GM should come out with a gay car, where there are two holes at the back for their members. Also a lesbomobile with stick shifter that can be takes off and it will work like a dildo and its called dildoshift. WHo freaking cares about gays, they wound out breed the normal healthy straight people.

gay people on average are more educated and make more money than their straight counterparts, auto manufacturers would do well to cater to them.

The better earning, higher educated shtick is an urban legend.
‘homophobic’ is possibly the stupidest word ever created. Scared of homos? Disgusted, saddened, pitty for yes, never saw anyone scared of a homo, well maybe a little frightened by Richard Simmons.
They might as well come up with a list of most searched cars by alcoholics, same difference.
Who gives a rip.

Twelve of my friends, as well as myself, all own a 2006 Audi A8-L. Additionally, I find that their respective friends own that particular car as well as the A6.

Therefore, I’m extremely disappointed that these cars didn’t make the list.

The gentleman below is correct when he stated that gay men have a higher level of education than many of our straight counterparts.

Additionally, we do not support families as they do, therefore, a double income no kids (DINK “label” has been placed on us.

As for you straight men with a lack of education who insist on making homophobic comments (for the most part, they are struggling with their own sexual identity), just remember this: Gay people don’t make gay people, STRAIGHT PEOPLE DO.. so keep on making us!

Thanks!
