I like the flame that comes out. It would be neat to see it at 900hp with the biodiesel fuel or whatever.

^ethanol/e85, maybe? ethanol has a higher octane rating than gasoline, so if you designed a car for ethanol and not gasoline at all, it could run higher compression ratios, and thus higher efficiency, yielding more power.
With a supercharged car like the koenigsegg, you can’t just flick a switch and change the diameter of the crankshaft, but you can change increase combustion pressure by way of upping the boost, and thus packing in more fuel per cycle, yielding the extra power.
There was a concept car about a decade ago called the ford mustang “super stallion” that had a supercharged ford 4.6 v8 (not all that different from the koenigseggs then), which offered a similar incentive to run the more environmentally sound fuel.
The downside to running e85 or pure ethanol (aside from low-temp starting issues) is that it has less energy per volume than gasoline, and thus it takes more to physically move the car any given distance. Given the higher cost of e85 ($gallonofgasoline + a buck), the higher consumption is a pretty big deterrent.
If I had a ccx, and somehow needed the extra power…. yeah, I think I could afford to blow a little more by filling it up with e85. wheee!

You don’t have to change anything mechanical to take advantage of higher octane..it can all be done in the ECU.
Particularly easy & effective on supercharged vehicles. By having a “flip-chip” you can have 2 or more settings for such things as timing & mixture. Supercharged cars respond very well to additional advance, which the higher octane of E85 (100-110) will allow.
806-900+hp..no problem with just timing.

I think flames are coming out because prototype car’s ECU is overheated causing all sort of problems.
