This time of year, a lot of magazines and internet publications like to announce their “cars of the year” — usually generic, uninteresting lists designed to score brownie points with their favorite corporate sponsor. Not that case over at Top Gear. Jeremy Clarkson & company dedicate over 50 pages in the January issue to their favorite cars of 2005. For the most part, these vehicles are exotic luxury or sports cars of every enthusiast’s dreams. They include the Bugatti Veyron, Mercedes CLS, Porsche Cayman, Mercedes S-Class, Aston Martin Vantage, and much more. Of course, there are some less extravagant cars on the list as well: Top Gear favorites like the humble Toyota Aygo and Mazda MX-5. Unfortunately, Top Gear hasn’t published all the dirt online, but there is a nice photo gallery with the highlights.
