Top sellers: What’s hot? What’s not?

While some cars sell before they even arrive at the dealership, others sit for hundreds of days before a buyer is found, reports the Detroit News. For example, the BMW 6-Series sits on the lot for an average of 19 days, while the Jaguar XK takes an average of 153 days to sell. The Mercedes CL is an even harder sell, taking 214 days. Dealers take just 16 days to move a Pontiac Solstice, while selling a Chrysler Crossfire takes 302 days — that’s almost a whole year! The Porsche Cayman’s stay at dealers is short — just 14 days on average. An Audi TT, on the other hand, takes 159 days to sell. Clearly, new and well-priced models sell the quickest, while old or overpriced cars take much longer. Land Rover’s new Range Rover sport sells in just 21 days, while the company’s outdated Freelander takes 248. See the full report for more numbers.
