Spied: Toyota 4Runner/Lexus GX

Spy photographers have captured the first images of the 2010 Lexus GX — or possibly its platform mate, the 2009 Toyota 4Runner — while out testing near Toyota’s southern California headquarters. The next-generation 4Runner is expected to bow in about a year — as a 2009 model — with the Lexus GX arriving in 2009 for the 2010 model year.

Not much is know about either vehicle, although more details should be known soon as the vehicles have obviously begun road-testing.

Should say
“SPIED: ANOTHER GAS GUZZLER” brought to you by that pseudo-eco-friendly company, Toyota.

Haha, I love how they don’t even know which vehicle they have spied. “It’s the Lexus GX…or could it be his identical twin - the Toy 4Runner

The last good “Runners” had 2- solid axles and a removable top. They should build them like that again, tough and light but add good power or even a torquey little diesel for 4×4 ability.

You got a point 1115, the domestics clone their SUVs. But I also have a point in that Toyoda does the same thing therefore you should stop critisizing GM for rebadging SUVs because Toyonda does the same thing. That was my point, I never said that domestics didn’t do this also.

Am I the only one who can’t even tell what car it is at all? The person who took the photos must have seen more than they took photos of. I see some Lexus GS taillight parts, but um.. are those outer lights from a Ford Explorer? I can’t pin them on any Toyota/Lexus.

Commodore: “Domestics” clone their SUVs, but except for the Cadillac Suburban, there’s nowhere neer the inflation as there is with the japanese faux-luuxury makeovers.

Toyota is the family, Toyota is the car.

kansei is exactly correct.. who can even tell? The taillights are definitely Lexus GS and Ford Expedition.. but the rear bumper shape, wheel arches and even the front fender look like they’re lifted directly from the Chevy TrailBlazer! Whatever it is, it’s definitely not pretty.

4 copies of one CUV When has Toyota done that ? The Escapade and the Denyli are similar in price but they are much higher than the TaHOE. The Lambda will sell bc they are new but when all the new Toyota’s and the Honda Pilot come out they can forget it. Also Gm wont redesign them enough. They will keep it out for 7 years before an overhaul and it will get stale
Americans are tired of being taken advantage of
Also Commodore Stand up and spew your regular bull**** ! JJT tells nothing but lies and bull**** at least he sticks to them and doesn’t back down

I hope the Lambdas are not seven years on the vine. That’s a recipe for death and irrelevance.
I think four Lambdas was a mistake. I’d have done two.

Fluffer: How many camry variants are there? Accord variants?

And I have called BS on teh General for the Caddilac Suburban.

The Accord has two variants- A coupe and a sedan.
You have no choice but to call the General on his BS GM is bs and so are you

Look everyone, I know Toyota is being hypocritical as **** about the whole going green thing. But GM is being hypocritical as **** too. I see ad’s in the car mags and really everywhere promoting how damn green GM is, it shows lots of simplistic little icons regarding alternative energy, like electric, ethanol, hybrid, fuel cell, etc etc. And yet GM still puts out even more lines of full size trucks and suvs, as well as midsize trucks and suvs, as well as compact trucks and suvs, than any other automaker in the world. They are being as hypocritical or MORE than toyota. I’m not pardoning toyota’s ****, but all i see are attacks on toyota for not being green, when in reality, GM has picked up the “go green” marketing scheme and is as much a liar as anyone. thank you.

Youve said much more bull**** along with that under your other names Impulsive and AMG off

I don’t Dodge questions and would never drive a Dodge bc its American meaning its inferior to the Japanese products
