At the 2012 Tokyo International Auto Show kicking off tomorrow, Toyota will show off a concept vehicle called Camette. While it will not go into production, the tiny vehicle was designed with young children in mind, allowing them to change the panels just as they would a full-sized toy - with parent supervision of course.

The car does move on its own, with power coming from a battery and electric motor. All the panels can be taken off, along with the wheels, roof bubble and glass, though it does take some time to do so. The two cars in the photos are based on the same chassis. The green one is called the Camette Sora, with the tan one dubbed Camette Daichi.

The cars have seating for three in a triangular 1+2 configuration and their pedals and steering wheel can even be adjusted to allow young ones to operate the controls in a controlled environment. An adult in the right rear seat can easily help out with steering and braking, however.

Unfortunately, there are no performance specs available for the concepts, and they're just that, with no plans for production.
