Toyota ’s popular Tacoma small pickup mostly stands pat for the new model year, although the automaker is taking advantage of its new, expanded San Antonio production line to offer a few new configurations.

Previously, the base 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine was only offered in a limited number of bodystyles on the Toyota Tacoma . For 2011, however, Toyota says that it has added Access Cab 4×2 PreRunner automatic, Double Cab 4×2 automatic, Double Cab 4×2 PreRunner automatic, Regular Cab 4×4 automatic and Access Cab 4×4 automatic configurations.

All regular cab Tacomas now come standard with air conditioning, while the optional six-disc CD changer head unit new features integrated satellite radio.

In addition, Toyota previously announced a pair of SEMA-inspired packages for 2011.

A new, mildly revised front grille and some exterior changes round out the 2011 modifications.
