Toyota today reported best-ever November U.S. sales of 196,695 vehicles, an increase of 15.9 percent over November 2005. The Toyota Division posted best-ever November sales of 169,976, up 18 percent. The Lexus Division reported best-ever November sales with 26,719 units sold, an increase of 4.2 percent. [Data sheet].
Total American Honda vehicle sales increased 0.6 percent over last year to 106,446, breaking the previous November record of 105,860 set in 2005, the company announced today. Supported by a 51.1 percent increase in Honda CR-V sales and a 66.8 percent increase in Acura MDX sales, American Honda’s light truck sales are up 8.1 percent for the month. [Data sheet].
Nissan North America today reported sales of 76,015 units in November, a decrease of 1.6 percent from the prior year. Nissan Division sales decreased by 1.8 percent over last year. Infiniti Division posted a sales increase by 0.2 percent versus the prior year. [Data sheet].
Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today reported sales of 20,792 vehicles for November 2006, a 16.7 percent increase versus last year. Mazda also reported a 4.1 percent year-to-date sales increase versus the same period last year, with 248,874 units sold through November. [Data sheet].
