I wouldn’t be the least bit suprised if toyota got government incentives to keep people working there. The big 3 don’t get any govrnment support and when they even propose it, all the jerkoff’s on here bash against it. Meanwhile, toyota, honda etc get government funds CONSTANTLY because they are a FOREIGN INVESTOR.

Once again, while GM, Ford & Chrysler rest, Toyota gets better and better. I’m sure that Toyota gives its employees vacation time and OT will most likely not be plentiful, so there’s the increased family time. Toyota just takes time that the American Three are using to tread water and uses the time to do Kaizan events to reduce waste and streamline the manufacturing process. My hat’s off to Toyota.

While I never would have looked at a Toyota in the past, when my Mustang dies, I’ll give them a fair chance to sell me my next car.

What the F*ck ever, most workers plan vacations around lay-offs, im not picking up trash or planting trees, my job is to make trucks period, and cracker I paid more in taxes than you made last year, get on my level bitch, we have those classes once a month (GMS, WPO) along with saftey meetings, but when Toyota does this its the greatest thing in the world, and lively we get sub-pay and unemployment so food and shelter aren’t a problem.

I’m guessing for a lot of plant workers incoming paychecks are a lot more important than spending time with the family. Food, clothing, and shelter are pretty damn important.
