Toyota promises hybrids across entire line

Toyota has said it plans to introduce hybrid technology across its entire lineup, Japanese news agency Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported yesterday. The plan applies to both the Toyota and Lexus brands. According to the report, every model series with be offered with optional hybrid powerplants by 2012. The next major hybrid announcement expected from Toyota is the Lexus LS hybrid, expected next week at the New York Auto Show.
