Honestly though… how can you expect certain types to differentiate when they can’t even perform simple arithmetic? How can you expect such a thing when certain types will look at two numbers and insist that the smaller number is actually the larger of the two? How can you expect such when certain types can’t even realize that Jan-Mar = 3 months and that 3/12 = 1/4?

It’s impossible to play a game when the other person would rather change the rules a million times or even shoot themselves in the head, rather than ever admit a mistake, let alone defeat.

I actually WANT toy to get that 1st place sales trophy that their CEO, Mr.Watanabe, has been bitching about since 1994. THAT WAY, Toy will finally be in the spotlight. People will stop portraying Toy as the little company that is taking on big, evil, “poor quality” domestic giants, but will finally (HOPEFULLY) hold Toy to the same standard as GM is held to. For example, when Toy is #1, people like you MIGHT stop saying that GM’s incredible new cars are unreliable before they have even taken the “10 year” test while at the same time calling Toy reliable even though their 8 year old and 4 year old cars are unreliable

And it looks like I am not alone in this, the Enclave, the Saturn and the Arcada are all affected by a widespread rash of camshaft problems with these vehicles.

Let me spell it out for you there sparky… January is the first (1) month, February is the second (2) month, and March is the third (3) month… There are 12 months in a year, so… 3/12 = 1/4. Seeing as how GM sold more cars in the NA market than Toyota in each month of the first quarter (three months, Jan-Mar), that means GM sold more cars in NA than Toyota… unless in your little world, three smaller numbers add up to a larger sum than three larger numbers.

Why the hell would I be squirming because of someone who can’t even count?

And please provide some proof that Toyota sold more than GM in 2007… because again.. in NA alone, GM sold 3,886,620 and Toyo sold 2.620,825… So which is the larger number, you dumbass? AND… if you were paying any attention at all… GM actually came out ahead in 2007 global sales once Toyota finally released exact numbers.

This time last year Toyota was ahead in the global count and they still came up short in the end. GM still leads Toyota in 15 of the worlds 20 largest markets and they are way ahead in what is the world’s largest emerging market – China.

GM is far from the underdog… especially on it’s home turf. And don’t be surprised to see GM jump back on top worldwide in a few years – China’s exploding… and they don’t like the Japanese all that much. The day Toyo starts selling more in the NA market is the day I get worried… hell, Toyota even fell back behind Ford in February and March… probably because of all of Toy-o’s recalls…

As for what this is saying, it is to be expected. But not because GM sucks like 1115 wishes, but because GM relies on North America as its largest market whereas Toy is not concentrated in the US. So what’s happening is that GM is catching up to Toy in non-American sales while Toy is NOT really catching GM in US sales because they are falling, BUT GM is keeping its share of the market as another LLN article reported. Because GM relies on the US too much (although they are doing a good job here in a slumping market), its total sales seem bad but in reality they are on track.
