A4, Toyotas are just your typical imports. So besically ya, they’re sh1t. How so many people got suckered into buying their unreliable, low quality vehicle over the years amazes me. You’d think that when your Toyota heads to the scrapyard at 50k while its on its 3rd engine and transmission these shmucks would’ve learned.

doesnt matter olds, all you have to change is mid mounted to front mounted, cause other than the amazing engine supra’s really were just bags of sh!t.

I got a customer with an early 90s Supra. It’s just a bag of sh|t with a mid mounted engine. Other than that it’s just a 4 cylinder corolla.

What happen to the GTR Dragon Slayer?

What happen to Supra vrs. Skyline?

The “Subaru / Toyota” tuner car is meant to be the 370Z killer, NOT the Supra…

Toyota is just turning more gay everyday, I’m disgusted, I was looking forward to the “Dragon killing Samurai” from Toyota.

I’m sure they know that they can’t make a car better then Nissan Skyline, so they are just not going to try.

I guess Toyota ain’t so mighty anyways….

If Nissan can make a 2 seat sports car (370Z) with 330+ horsepower for an entry price
of $32,000 – Toyota should be able to do the same!

Yeah and the 300ZX and RX-7 were both $45K then as well and look now. Hovering happily around $25K-$32K. I think TOYOTA will opt to slot this car well under the LEXUS IS350. Somewhere around $24K-$27K.

$30,000???? What are you guys smokin? The old one was around $45K. You can’t honestly think 10 years later they release an updated version for less would you? This car will probably be in the $60K range if I had to guess.

yesss. i agree with A4 on this one though, without the turbo’s, it simply cannot and will not live up to the reputation of the 93-98 supra with sequential twin turbochagers

This should sound good, hopefully it won’t be cursed by the god-awful/boring recent Toyota styling. make this go ahead with the 370Z, etc. and the LF-A to go ahead with the GT-R.

This will work out fine because the NASCAR Nationwide series will be going to a Pony Car Platform with the Challenger and Mustang Toyota no longer has a 2 Dr Coupe since the Solar left last year this will make the mark!

This should be a very nice reintroduction for the Supra and Toyota is doing the right thing by making a Sensible Sports car. I give them credit. Although my taste would be more in line with its upscaled cousin the 500+ HP Lexus LF-A

the blacked-out a-pillar is too much of a gtr-copy to me, and the last supra was so curvy that this angular thing won’t really feel like a supra to me, but whatever,i used to like the chunky celica-supras of the 80s…

If experience is any predictor of future performance, Nissan had a sports car in ‘89 that was being billed as all but invincible, and Toyota decided to play their trump card, and cross the line. Nissan never recovered.

I’d love to see this but I want a $30,000 2+2 twin-turbo I-6 (or just drop that amazing 3.5 V6) Nissan 370z fighter and not some $80,000 Nissan GT-R fighter, leave that to the Lexus LF-A. Plus, wouldn’t a great motto for this car be “A new Toyota, built for enthusiasts, by enthusiasts” or “The new driver’s Toyota.
