You bastards, I'm here at the summer place in the B.C. Okanagan for two weeks and I just spent 10 hours mudding and sanding the roof of our carport/patio in 90 degree heat. So how do you know when your equilibrium is being challenged? A good indication is when you take a leak when you wake up, go through 10 bottles of water and five beer at the end of the day before you take your next one.

No, it doesn't, BrassMonkey, but one of the salesmen on the spot is missing a tooth. Does that count?

Well, this is the first time I've got on LLN after work, but I thought it might be worth it to tell you guys I picked up my shaving creme, Gillete Mach 3 razors, Digorno pizza, and Captain Crunch, with crunch berries. The pizza worked out good, pepparoni. I think next time I'll take brassmonkey's advice and try the disposable razors, the Mach 3's are expensive. I don't think the razor matters as much as the shaving creme, I like the Edge brand gel. Well, I also saw Journey to the Center of the Earth saturday night, anyone else get a chance to see it. The 3-D kicks ass.

Not so much into Crunch Berries. I also like Trix and Count Chocula (when I can find it).

Beatus, on those TV spots you are working on, the Toyota one in particular, does it have Bluetooth?

Yeah, they are TV spots for the Olympics, but they are what we call "tag 'em and bag 'em" spots. Basically, most of the content has been produced, and I'm just adding the sponsorship logo and voice where the guys says, "brought to you by..." After that, I have to add the commercial to the end of the sequence, and then I put the slate information on the front. This particular project is just tedious route type work. Since there are 15 different pre-produced vignettes and 6 separate clients, there are 90 different combinations. I'm done with the hard part. Now it's just up to the computer to process it all so I can dub it to tape tomorrow.

I am proud to say, though, that out of the 9 different actual commercials (some clients are rotating two spots), I produced three of them myself. One is for a local Toyota dealer, and the other two are for D R Horton, the home builder.

As far as why the Olympics are in China, well, I don't have any part of that. I'm sure the guys that were shooting the original footage tried hard not to get any algae or smog. I'm also sure the colorist did one hell of a job correcting the footage.

But the stuff I'm working with is actually old video from the last Summer Olympics, because the project consists of small stories about the athletes and the historic moments from last time. I still have a bit of China footage, but not much.

Beatus, are you working on TV spots for the Olympics? Wonder why the OIC chose Beijing. Man, they got major algae problems, and then I read they got swarms of locusts. Maybe you could incorporate the alage for a vignette of the sailing competition.

Hemi, I used to use the Gillette Mach 3 razors, too. But paying $12 for 4 refills really started to piss me off. So, I started buying the disposable razors instead. They are surprisingly good. $4 for 5 razors with 3 blades, and swivel head. Not bad. Just a thought. And, I think Froot Loops are better than Cap'n Crunch. I would tie Frosted Flakes with Cap'n. I also like Pops.

I just came back from lunch. I had pozole, made by my mother-in-law. She really knows how to make good Méxican food. Now it's time to finish up the Olympics Vignettes spots that are due tomorrow. There are about 90 of these things altogether, but since they are cookie-cutters, I rip through them rather quickly. I have a meeting in about 30 minutes, too, but it's a teleconference, so I can edit the vignettes at the same time. Also, later tonight, my wife will be taking some family portraits, and I will be installing Windows XP on my dad's brand new iMac.

I think I'll buy a lottery ticket on my way home tonight. I've got to stop at the stor to pick up some shaving creme and a new pack of Gilette Mach 3 razor blades. They work pretty good. There's a funny show that comes on tommorrow night, it's called Wipeout. It's definitely worth checking out, it comes on 7pm central time.

Well, I did eat a little after 12, just as planned. I had a Jack in the Box spicy chicken sandwich, no fries. Just the sandwich and coke. I think I'll get some paper and draw pictures of tanks shooting people like I did in English class in 9th grade. That was fun. I might swim with the kids when I get home. It is warm today in Sacramento. Sorry for the over-exciting news. Hope I didn't give anyone heart palpitations.
