Recall-plagued Toyota has announced yet another recall – but this one is notable more for the lack of vehicles involved than for the severity of the issue. Just two 2010 Toyota Tundra s have been officially recalled over a faulty front propeller shaft supplied by Dana Corp.
Several hundred Tundras were repaired at the company’s San Antonio assembly plant, but the automaker and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration have determined that two affected four-wheel-drive Tundras made their way onto the road.

According to PickupTrucks.com, Toyota discovered the problem while dyno testing a Tundra at the assembly plant. Toyota determined that if the part was incorrectly placed during the welding process, a crack could develop in a joint that could eventually lead to the driveshaft separating and, according to the official recall, “this may result in a loss of vehicle control increasing the risk of a crash.”

Toyota will contact the two owners, but if you think your Tundra might be affected, you can call the automaker at 1-800-331-4331.
