Toyota Tundra Ivan “Ironman” Stewart edition

Ivan Stewart Enterprises has announced that it will offer a special Ivan “Ironman” Stewart edition of the Toyota Tundra full-size pickup truck exclusively through Toyota dealerships this spring. Stewart is no stranger to Toyota trucks as the famed Baja racer has won the Baja 500 a record 17 times behind the wheel of a Toyota truck.

Because the special edition truck will have strong ties to the Baja race, Toyota has given it a bolder look than the standard issue Tundra. While details still remain fairly scarce, the new truck will feature a set of unique alloys wrapped in off-road ready rubber. A tuned exhaust and special badges will also be part of the package, as will a carbon fiber and billet shifter knob that is actually formed in the shape of Stewart’s grip.

Despite the changes to make the Tundra look tougher, its 5.7L V8 is expected to remain unchanged.

With Ford developing its own Baja truck — the Raptor F-150 — it appears as though the specialty off-road truck market could be just heating up.

ah wonderful idea - let’s take our lame excuse for a truck and abuse it offroad. then when the frame snaps and the tailgate falls off toyota will tell consumers that it’s their fault for taking the truck off road - lmao

I think it looks great. The thing I love most is the paint, the rims are pretty nice also. Other than that, not much more to talk about, doesn’t sound close to as serious as the Ford Raptor off the pavement. Nice, but I still can’t get over the styling- it just doesn’t look good as a standard or extended cab.

Nice shade of RUST Toyota used in the official pics.

Soon enough that “Ironman” will be known as the “Oxideman” anyway.

It’s needed like pimple on behind. WHat they need is the same V8 diesel used in Europe to be more efficient and torque would come for free.

definitely a stupid idea. look how well a thousand special editions has done for the dodge trucks!

and, it’s gay to make a special edition truck that isn’t special at all, not to win the baja 500

2 contractors who come to my work that have the new Tundra’s with the 5.7’s want to trade them in for some Duramax Silverados. Say the Tundra’s are good on paper but in real life they suck too much gas down to be a profitable for their company. And this is funny, wow a special edition truck looks like Toyota has been taking cues from Ford.

OMG, what ****ing idiocy. I have trouble believing a pickup truck incites such rage on this board. Really, enough with the douchebaggery. This is fanboyism at it’s worst.

Is this ‘Ironman’ a grade of iron that doesn’t oxidize? Hopefully, they won’t consult the same Japanese metallurgist that certified the rusty frames they are now buying back.
