Just when you thought you’d heard the last from General Motors’ Hummer brand, the legendary off-road marque has resurfaced with a trio of H3 concept at the SEMA Show in Las Vegas. While none of the rigs are quite as radical as the Hummer HX concept, all three fit right in on the show floor.
The mildest of the bunch in the H3 X Concept, which is based on the company’s H3 X Alpha. In addition to the standard truck’s chrome gas door, brush guard and body-colored grille, the H3 X Concept adds unique 18 inch wheels, a set of 35 inch all-terrain tires, plenty of black chrome and clear turn signal lights.

Drivetrain remains stock from the H3 X Alpha – including a four-speed automatic transmission — with output totaling 300 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque.

The H3T Weekend Warrior takes things a bit further with 20 inch wheels, a modified suspension to handle extreme off-road duty and a unique Baja Orange Metallic paint job.

Unlike the H3 X Concept, GM dug deep into the H3T’s engine bay. Thanks to LS2 heads, a new camshaft and a performance exhaust system, the H3T Weekend Warrior’s 5.3L V8 kicks out a healthy 370 horsepower.

The last SEMA H3 was customized by Four Wheeler magazine. Dubbed Trailhugger, Four Wheeler’s truck started out life as a standard-issue Victory Red H3 Alpha. Four Wheeler then “de-glossed” the H3’s paint job, and coated it with a special flattening agent that gives the paint a satin finish.

Next up was a complete suspension overall, which included the addition of nitrogen-charged shocks. A set of flat black 16 wheels and off-road spec tires rounds out Traillhugger’s off-road credentials. The trucks powertrain remains stock, but Four Wheeler did add a cat-back exhaust system.
