Tuner builds supercharged Ferrari F430

05/30/2006, 12:10 PM

By admin

Tuner Novitec has built a supercharged Ferrari F430 with twin superchargers that push output to 636 horsepower. The car completes the 0-62 mph spring in just 3.7 seconds, and can reach a top speed of 218 mph. Maximum torque of 638Nm is achieved at 6250 rpm (compared to 465Nm stock). The kit also features upgraded coil-over adjustable suspension with lowered ride height and a widened track. The interior has been enhanced with new lightweight racing seats and a racing steering wheel. The exterior gets new front and rear spoilers, side skirts, and an improved rear diffuser. Lastly, custom 19- or 20-inch center-lock wheels conceal the upgraded Brembo ceramic brakes. Novitec is distributed by Claus Ettensberger in the U.S. Image gallery after the jump…

Why doesn’t Ferrari do something like this? Or instead of a supercharger why don’t they turbo charge it!

Because no one would pay that retarded amount of money for a Ferrari F430 ricer. and if you say you would, than you cant afford it anyway. away from that stupid ass comment, i love the car.

Turbochargers don’t suck, but why put one in a Ferrari? I thought they were always about natural aspiration

aside from the weird black taillights, this car looks niiiice

You are obviously an IDIOT, and how do you know if I can’t afford one anyways. No, turbochargers don;t suke!! Did the F40 SUCK; it had a Twin Turbocharged engine and is one of the most desirable Ferrari’s ever made!!!!

Hey Dav, nobody would pay for that? I guess thats why they’re selling it. I’m sure people will pay for it. In fact I’m sure that ONLY people who can afford it will buy it, and they will like it, so pretty much everything you said is wrong. You’re an idiot.

0-60 in 3.7? That’s odd because Road & Track and others have used its Launch Mode to achieve 0-60 in as little as 3.5 with the stock version of this car. I’m not sure why pay extra to go slower but I’m sure the extra Torque and peak HP along with its new 218mph top speed will make the difference to the intended target…

I’d personally rather have a stock one. If there’s a car made right out of the box, its this car and thus doesnt benefit from changing a great, balanced all-motor engine for a boosted one, not to mention the overkill of red-painted body kit add-ons. I’m all for Tuner cars and modifying sports cars but this simply doesnt seem to actually improve an already fine car…

uh yeah Bill, just like newspapers all contain similar stories, because the same **** is happening for everyone. You’re an idiot bill, thats how these things work. Where do you think Autoblog got their material. Do you think they just made it up out of thin air? No, thats just the news thats happening. Who the hell cares if they have some of the same stories. Its just like every other news source on the planet. You need to relax.

Like #7 said, the F40 had them. My favorite Ferrari of all time had them too, the 1985 Ferrari 288 GTO (twin turbo). I think this car’s frontend looks a lot like a Viper and the backend like a Saleen S7.

0 – 60 is all traction-dependent. Especially when you dip into the 4-second range and lower. On a track or in anything other than acceleration from a stop, I’m quite certain this will show a “standard” F430 its taillights.

Anonymous #11 you are obviously a mental reject. Its a fact that this site does everything autlog and jalopik does. Great example. The honda accord story that is on the front page. That has been circulating for weeks now on various forums. Today jalopni posts it and what do you know, a few hours later leftlanenews.com has it too. Why even post if you’re going to just rip off the content of everyone else.

So you can get the same news everywhere….

Example: I don’t go to those other sites, I never would have known, so I don’t mind. Actuallly, I’m glad the copy them, that way I only have to go here. But maybe there’s another reason? I don’t know, I don’t really care.

This car is sick. But as some of u were saying screw this supercharged stuff. Let’s get a turbo or twin-turbo in this baby and show the real power of this car.

Precisely #16. I don’t care where they get it, or when they get it, etc… as long as I get it, thats all that matters. Thank you as always, LLN, as you’ve been so very good to me.

Yes, thank you LLN.

I forgot to say how awesome I thought this car is. I always thought the 360 (at least) and the 430 went from 0-60 in the low 4s, the 360 in the high 4s even. I mean, the Enzo goes 0-60 in the 3.65s states ferraris website.

Turbo 2;

We all know you can’t afford one because of the way you type. Also, the F430 revs so high and fast that turbochargers would be extremely inefficient. But I’m sure the one strapped onto your 98 Accord (or Jetta) is still really cool…

There is nothing wrong with more horsepower but I wish they left the exterior alone. The exterior mods look amateurish. I wish they had drawn inspiration from the F430GT racing cars.

I like the idea of having 630 bhp F430 butt hte problem with that much power is wheel spin. I think Novitec should stick some racing slicks on it and give body more downforce. Sure it wouldn’t to 216mph, but when are you gonna be going that fast anyway. Further more, the 0-60 times would go down near 3 seconds i’d guess.
Great car.
