Britain's Professional Driver Magazine says that Jaguar's redesigned XJ sedan (or saloon, as they prefer) is the best vehicle in the country for chauffeurs to pilot.

The magazine specifically singled out the 3.0-liter diesel V6 long-wheelbase XJL model, saying that "judges loved the XJ's looks, its beautiful and distinctive interior and outstanding driving dynamics."

The XJL beat out traditional large sedan rivals including the Mercedes-Benz S350 and last year's winner, the BMW 730Ld. In the United Kingdom - and across Europe as a whole - the vast majority of full-size luxury sedans are purchased by professional drivers and services.

In the Jaguar's domestic market, the automaker offers a specific purchase program for chauffeurs interested in the highly competitive - and lucrative - driven vehicles segment. Among the perks for chauffeurs is a "like-for-like" replacement program that offers drivers a similar vehicle when theirs is in for service, as well as unique factory-backed insurance.
