They'll need good marketing to sell any in the US. We love our vettes, and at 60k, people will be cross-shopping vettes of all types and saying things like "where's the trunk?" 1400 lbs is amazing. I drove my gf's mx5 all last week and it felt as light as anything could ever be, but that's still ~2300 lbs ! I can understand an elise being ~2000 lbs what with it's all aluminum construction, but to be so close to a caterham while having a full body is hard to even believe! Honda, GM, Ford, & Toyota are the 4 primary engine suppliers for these kinds of companies. If Javan wanted a certain feel for this vehicle (hi-revving, light weight, etc) then the Honda powerplant sounds like the best choice.
