The Murcielago is faster, maybe not much faster, but when you're talking about 0-60 mph in about 3.6 for the Murcielago and 4.0 for the Gallardo (let me know if my estimates are off), then you're not going to see a whole hell of a lot of difference, primarily because when you get THIS powerful the time differences won't be huge. You're not going to see the Murc hitting sixty 4 seconds faster than the Gallardo, because they are both in such an extreme league of cars that's impossibe. The Murcielago is more imposing, more exclusive, more powerful, more expensive, and in my opinion better looking, all attributes that make this car easily worth the extra cash over the Gallardo, and also helping it be my favorite car of all time. This isn't to say I don't think the Gallardo is an amazing vehicle, but I just don't see it even touching the LP640 in flagship terms, simply because it's not of the Murcielago's character. A comparison: the 550i might be similar in speed to the 750i, but does that make it a flagship? Nope, there are a variety of different variables that make a car a brand's top offering, not just speed. Long live the Murcielago!
