Chinese automakers have widely become known for their ability to ape the designs of more well-established automakers, but the latest vehicle from Poland proves that copycatting isn’t just reserved for the Asian continent.
Poland’s Veno Automotive has released images of its yet-to-be-named supercar, but it may as well be called the Lamborghini Reventon II. Veno claims that its supercar has a unique design and – surprise, surprise – was inspired by fighter jets, just as the Reventon was.
Veno says that it has developed a new chassis capable of handling over 1,000 horsepower, which the company says will help the supercar take on the likes of Ferrari , Aston Martin , Pagani , Koenigsegg and its long-lost brothers from Lamborghini .
Slated to be produced in both coupe and cabrio forms, Veno says the supercar will incorporate the latest technology, such as carbon fiber body panels, night vision and wireless internet access.
Power is said to be sourced from Audi ’s 4.2L V8, which will be available in 350, 450 and 700 horsepower increments. Veno also claims that it will offer a range of V8s from General Motors, including the Corvette ZR1’s supercharged LS9.
If all of that doesn’t sound too good to be true, Veno is working on a high-performance all-electric drivetrain for the Reventon clone, according to Carscoop.
The Polish supercar is earmarked for a production run of 50 units, but we think those production plans could be delayed by Lamborghini’s army of lawyers.
