I like the new truck. My family has a F-150 Lariat which has the leather and fake wood trim, and I would easily say that the interiors shown were on par, some aspects better. With that said, the first interior shown looks exactly the same as the F-150 just with a different dash and dials.

Dont be pissed off cuz GM are making better trucks then everyone else.. get over it people.. GM’s new vehicles are hot!

i drive a 2007 Z71, rented a ford f-150 for road trip, BIG MISTAKE, no leg room and seats had horrible back support. F-150 hesitated to pass cars on freeway. Think I’ll stick with chevy. Only time id buy a ford is over Toyota.

I’m a current 2004 silverado owner and love my truck.
As far as the 2007 silverado, I’m not sure of the looks of the new front end, maybe it looks different in person. I really don’t like the looks of the red silverado with the half cromed bumber I’ve seen. The tan colored silverado looks fine. I just wish they would have made the silverado look a little more like the tahoe. Wider headlights with a narrower grill. As far as the new interior I think the new interior is great, not that the prior interior was as bad as some people think. It is very functionable and compares with and other brands interior. As far as the new Gmc sierra, I really like the looks of it, especially the Denali. I might even trade my silverado in for the new Sierra. As for you ford guys. These new trucks will blow ford out of the water. Last year Silverado almost outsold the f-series by itself. If you combine the sales of silverado and sierras they blew the F-series in sales of the map. And if ford are better why is their resale values always less than gm’s. that has to tell you something

I like the new features, except for the front end it seemed it lost its “mean” look like the 2006’s have. especially the grill, i hope somebody would make an after market grill soon to make it look more tough.

This truck is awesome!! I already ordered mine.I cant wait for it. The whole truck i believe is a great improvement and can beat any truck any day.

This is the worst looking General Motors truck that I have seen, it even looks cheaper than my 2006 Silverado. The interior looks like they looked at the F150 Lariat and said ,”We can do that” and then
proceded to try to make it look lioke the Ford . but lost their way.
Overall, a complete failure, should go back to the drawing board.

Wow, Jack must be a professional automotive designer and is able to predict what everyone will want to buy. How does this look anything like a Ford is beyond me. The dash design is clean and modern like the Fords but has no resemblence to the Ford. If you think the 06 Silverado is cheap looking, why would you buy soemthing you don’t like. Maybe you should have bought a Hyundai Accent.

I just read an article from Popular Mechanics’s website, saying that the f-150 now has a maximum towing capacity of 10,500 lbs. just like the 2007 silverado. I didn’t believe it one bit, because there is NO info or news about Ford upgrading the frame on their trucks recently, or putting in more powerful engines. Go to Ford’s website if you don’t believe me, and the maximum towing capacity for that truck is still 9,900 lbs. Also, did anyone notice that GM actually REDUCED the torque output for the VortecMAX? It was 380 ft/lbs. and now it’s 375 ft/lbs. However, they did upgrade the horsepower from 345-367 hp and that’s pretty good for me.

Oh, and Robb? The redesigned trucks won’t be available until October or November, so you didn’t order the new ones. What you will probably be getting is the 2007 Classic model, unless you were able to PRE-order the new model, and if so, PLEASE tell me how you were able to do that.

Actually Robb, you WILL be getting the 2007 classic model, not the new one, because GM hasn’t even announced an actual release date, or pricing on the new trucks. Sorry.

Trading in my Sierra for a Tundra.

I think it’s a refreshing new look. I will be buying one as soon as they are out! It’s a shame so many people buy trucks from Japan, then they will be crying about the U.S. economy next! All of my Ford owner friends say they like them but they sure do eat more gas than their Chevys did! I hope these new models help GM get back on their feet!

GM sucks!!! I wonder if it rattles like all GMC vehicles. Sounds like my washing machine. Toyota for me, and If I were to buy Domestic, Ford or Dodge hands down.
