#36, no they never did build V8, they don’t need to, all they build is I4s and V6s for ages that beat the crap out of “American Muscle” V8s. When it comes to performance per liter Americans are behind Japanese and Europeans big time… And I am not even gonna mention car handling…

And don’t give me one of those “there is no replacement for displacement” crap as there is a replacement for displacement which is called advancing technology and great engineering.

I hate the Charger with a passion, it’s a sacrilege. The Concept of the Charger in 1999 was four doors too but it looked so good compared to that crap i see on the road now. Kill the charger now and bring out a faithful version. You could change the name also, after all it is a 300C under there.

I dig retro styling, but that thing is straight out of the 70s. The new mustang has retro cues combined with contemporary styling; the challenger is a rebirth. The magic question now is, when its time to update/redesign it in 5 years where do you go? Doubt if any one from Chrysler thought of this…… It’s 1964 all over again; Ford leading the pack while GM (Camaro concept) and Chrysler (Challenger) playing catch and trying to cash in on a already hot segment. First On Race Day! ! !

You think that the GTO was a good looking car? The chassis dynamics were great but cars don’t come anymore bland than that thing did. American muscle fans like bold expressive cars with euro underpinnings but not euro style subtlety and discreetness. A discreet muscle car is an oxymoron.

IMO out of all the other modern muscle cars/concepts (Mustang, Charger, magnum, camaro, GTO, 300) this one has to be the LEAST attractive one in terms of looks.
