Video: Driving the new BMW Z4 M Roadster

What happens when you put an M3 motor into a compact roadster? You get what looks to be a lot of fun. This video pretty much speaks for itself, showing a test drive of the new Z4 M in the Spanish mountains on some pretty tight back roads. There are some pretty tight corners, even tighter passes, and lots of aural entertainment. [via]. Video after the jump…

I’ve always believed that the Z4 was the best looking car on the road, and now it’s got the performance to match: the only thing that could make it better would be an SMG or something similar, I’ve had my fill of manuals in the center city…but still, I could see myself breaking down and getting one.

And Scott, I was flipping through some auto mag in Reagan National that claimed a 4.8sec 0-60. Can’t find the source, but I believe it was Automobile mag.

sigh… for some reason I don’t liek the new Z4s at all. I love the Z3 design though. Is it just me? Oh and the BMW one series is ugly to me too.

The sound of the motor; one of the finer experiences in life. Sand the entire body off into a smooth tub shape and simplify the light shapes!
