That’s the most igorant comment I’ve ever seen. There’s this term that exists… what’s it called… oh yes, ‘R&D’. BMW spends a ton of money to make their cars as fun and rewarding to drive as they are. This includes silky-smooth motors that have awesome torque curves, to the chassis designs that have near-perfect 50/50 front/rear weight distributions (even the X3/5 SUVs have this!), to their world-class suspension geometries. That R&D also goes into automating build processes that minimize errors due to human related issues like stress or fatigue.

I’m sure it’s easy being a keyboard-jockey like yourself… but in the real world, a ton of science and engineering (and thus $) goes into making these automobiles.

This is real cool. As far as I understand, the BMW factory conveyor belt really does take the cars through the office workers cubicles as the car is assembled. Cool way to keep the office people connected with their product
