Jaguar has put together a handful of videos on its recently-unveiled C-XF concept car. The C-XF is intended as a preview of the forthcoming XF sedan, which will replace the aging S-Type in 2008.

The footage includes commentary from Julian Thomson and Adriana Monk from the Jaguar Design Team. Design chief Ian Callum also shares his thoughts on the project. Five videos after the jump…

Aston Martin Rapide rip off. Plus that grill looks f**king ugly. Where is that RD-6 Concept front.

YUK…… Well, Jaguar bites the dust as far as styling goes. What an amalgamation of stolen design cues and none of the sexy Jaguar left.

Who exactly is blowing up the skirts of these designers telling them that their designs are beautiful?

Jeez….

eh, I like it. Yeah, it might be a ripoff… but it’s a car I would drive.

I absoultly love it.
I owned a 1988 XJ-6, possibly the worst jag ever made.
Brilliant 4v DOHC inline 6, but the interior was falling apart, and the problems with the transmission, hydraulic brake and suspension system, ugh.
But this, I would love to drive and to have. Even with a less showy interior, that exterior is wonderous. Any word on what engine powers that thing?
It would be rich if they brough back the 3.6 inline 6, but with more power.
Although mine was only rated for 189 hp, it still did 150 on the highway no problem.

I think the car is so awesome. I can’t wait to see this car in person. The front kind of reminds me of the current Audi A4, but better IMO.
Atomicbri, I couldn’t agree with you more. A bunch of little whiners in here. To bad most are probably not old enough to drive yet. Let them be.
First it was the XK a year ago. X-type will be killed. S-type is gone. Xf is in. Their future is looking good. A step in the right direction if you ask me. Now all they have to do after this is give the XJ a major overhaul.
P.S, they should come out with an aluminum body(similar to XJ/XK) version for the XF-R. Drop in the 420hp 4.2L Supercharged V8 from the XK-R into it and you have a monster.
An AWD version wouldn’t hurt either. GO JAG!

Like it or not… It looks better than any jaguar currently on sale. So its a step in the right direction I think.

And after watching the videos again, I think it should look identical to the production car, it just looks so sharp. especially the headlamps 0_o

Nice car, not feeling the front grill though and reminds me too much of the Aston Martin, but all in all, it a descent start.

Hold your horses folks, since we cannot view it in reality, and its not the finished product perhaps we should reserve judgement a little bit. Personally, I would like to add that the platform is from the S Type, engine gearbox and running gear are pretty much stock Jaguar. So there will be plenty Jaguar genes in the car. As for Aston influences, well, didnt the E Type Jaguar start all the super sleek looks in the firsr place? If you compare the silhouette shapes they are not much different. I will also add, a lot of cars, vans & 4×4s use or borrow bits from other manufacturers, big deal if jag borrows an idea or some bits from the parts bin. Since all the legislation on car design in the name of safety came in, we have lost some great designs. Personally I think pedestrians should keep off the roads and then car designers can really get going again, and we can see some terrific cars on the road.

this car is amazing and to say that this car is something that Aston Martin would do, is true. And i think that Jag will take that as a complement. This car looks great but i just dont like the interior. i looks way to futuristic and this car looks like a performance car so i am hoping that it would be offered as a manual.

i would love to see this car as a two door coupe with a retractable wing similar to the Bugatti veyron. cuz that would be hot. I also don’t like the tail lights, and yes the grill is a little weird. And i hate that futuristic interior. i want to see this car with a grill similar to the Fisker Tramonto. Just out of curiosity i want too see what the hard-top convertible version of this car would look like. Aside from my little design alterations i think that this is a great car and a definite step in the right direction for Jag. Congrats, also congrats to the new Lincoln concept.
