CNNHeadlineNews aired a video yesterday of the tragic crash that killed IndyCar (IRL) driver Paul Dana. Dana slammed into another car after it went out of control and stopped on the track. Dana hit the stopped car at over 200 mph. Both drivers were rushed to hospital, where Dana was pronounced dead. Miraculously, the other driver survived. A video of the crash from CNN can be seen after the jump…

Why wasn’t the race stoped / yellow flagged as soon as there was a accident on the track as its done on F1?

It was PRACTICE, suj. For some reason, he didn’t slow down like the other drivers did after that car hit the wall. The yellow lights were flashing along the track.

yellow lights are a little hard to notice when your driving an airplane without wings at 200 mph.
