		<description>Well you may not know this, but there is a new American car coming out that goes 0-100-0 in 9.2 and 0-100 in 4.9.  It is powered by a W32 (4 V-8 engines) and weighs 4800 lbs.  Oh, by the way, it has 1800 bhp and has a top speed of 305 mph.</description>

		<description>The Veyron weighs a whopping 4160 lbs. 0-100-0 aside, the cornering dynamics of all that mass would make it pitiable on any roadcourse vs. the Ultima. And, even at 1001 bhp, the hp to wt. ratio of the Veyron with all its bulk is a bit inferior to the Ultima&#039;s.
Next, Senior El Que, it is very challenging to build an N/A small block that&#039;s any kind of smog legal with an output of 720 BHP. Without forced induction, you have basically compression ratio, displacement (406CID) and anemic two-valve breathing to work with. Pushrods will limit rpm, so we&#039;re talking high compression and NASCAR degrees of valve overlap. And you&#039;re gonna need about 104 Octane racegas to feed this without knocking. So, where you get the idea that &quot;far more power than this is so easy&quot; unless you add the blower that you obviously hold in disdain. All of which suggests, &quot;baby&quot;, that you get your engine facts from somewhere out in Area 51.
Lastly, the British have shown great skill in suspension tuning and rendering some beautiful sheet metal but not much else. The Elise handles great but is notorious for having knobs and other pieces fall off and roll around on the floor (what part of great engineering is that?). What should be simple things falling apart is as much a British legacy as &quot;Suspension Tuned by Lotus&quot;.
Frankly, at a whopping 720bhp and with ginormous discs and grippy modern pads, I don&#039;t see this as so much of a &quot;fine British engineering&quot; accomplishment as it is a drag car style driveline with big brakes and some unrelated body work tacked on. What do you think a 10,000 hp nitrous-burning funny car with 8pot calipers might be able to do 0-100-0? If the car isn&#039;t street legal (and with this 720HP motor, it ain&#039;t), then there&#039;s really no rules and the funny car is a perfectly valid contender. If it must be street registered, then the HP will drop about 150 horses and the Ultima will fall several places on the list. Someone mentioned the Shelby Cobra doing this in 13secs back in the 60&#039;s. That era&#039;s 427FE-powered car made perhaps 435bhp. Today I can buy/build a 510CID Cobra copy with a curb weight of 2,200 lbs making 750bhp. Me, not 20 British master engineers. And, I bet it can meet the Ultima&#039;s posting. The Ultima is a better car than what this discussion is hung up on. A quick 0-100-0 time for a very light, hugely powered car, is really not even very interesting. Do it with street legal smog and bloody catalytic convertors and then maybe it will have something to crow about.</description>

3) after all said and done, price tag of 175k-200k?  I&#039;d get a Gallardo spider, and be a sec slower with the roof down, navigation and Audi quattro.</description>

The price of an Ultima GTR or Ultima Can-Am Roller is $89,000.</p>
<p>The price includes sea freight shipping from the UK to a US seaport of the customer&#8217;s choice, so long as the seaport is serviced directly fromthe UK.</p>
<p>The customer is responsible for US Customs clearance, import duty and overland transport from th seaport to the Rollers&#8217; final destination.</p>
<p>In addition to the Roller the customer will also need a Chevrolet small block V8 and a Porsche G50 (or Getrag) transaxle. Once the customer has installed these, the completed car is ready for registration!</p>
<p>I would guess $175-$200k complete. Not the most attractive, but certainly not the ugliest. The performance&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;&#8230;..&#8221;The mind boggling 30-70mph time of just 1.8 seconds is further proof that the Ultima is so far ahead of any other car in terms of outright performance.â€?<br />
