Late last week, BMW officially unveiled the 2007 BMW 3-Series Coupe, including the 328i and 335i variants. Reaction from most BMW fans has been positive, but some individuals are holding judgement until they get to see the car in person. While most of us won’t see the 335 or 328 until this fall, BMW has released three videos showing the car in action. The last video has no audio, the first two let you hear the 335’s engine in all its glory. All three videos can be seen after the jump…

It’s nicer than I initially thought. Maybe bmw has an answer to the IS350. Will wait for the reviews.

It will most definitely beatdown the IS350. Check out the 335i turbo stats.

0-60 in 5.3 seconds. Chip that turbo and you’re looking at at least 5 seconds flat. Byebye IS!

Count Drokoo – They got rid of the “C,” which used to designate the coupe. They’ll be the 328i and 335i.

You write like BMW is setting the Lexus as a bench mark when it has been, is and always will be the other way around. Lexus just got their latest product to market first and I think in reality there are few that cross shop those models in spite of what Lexus and car magazine writier would have you believe.
And as much HP and handling prowess as they add to the Lexus it will always be missing one thing…soul.

el duderino: I could be wrong, but I’m pretty sure the 272HP number was pretty much unsubstantiated. By all appearances there will just be the 230HP 3.0 328, and the 300HP 3.0T 335. I’d put my money on these two motors permiating the entire BMW lineup in a year or so. Just my take.

Duderino – go on bmwusa.com and read the press release – in US there will be 230hp 328i and 300hp 335i. 328 is the only model coming with AWD, 335i will remain RWD only (maybe just for now, but I think this is permanent). Europe only: 218hp 325 and 272hp 330.

I cant find anything specific to criticize yet still dont love it. To me, watching those videos do not make me want to own it for some reason versus a 2004/5 E46 M3. The idea of being able to increase the boost and HP easily is definitely tempting but I see it as being super-common within a year or two just like the current 3.
It is damn frustrating trying to decide between the e46 M3 and this 335 although I’m lucky just to have such a “frustrating” decision to make. The Reliability of a standard 3 vs. an M car will probably force me to go this way but there’s just something about that M3 that I LOVE – the 335 I simply LIKE…

The BMW bulletin to dealers on the new coupes said the 335xi will see production in Q4 2007. That’s fairly long wait, but it will be happening.

Asher, the E46 M3 is an entirely different animal – magnificent, but hard-edged. If you ever have to carry a wife and/or child, the M3 is not your car. With the 335, you could turn up the wick and still be civilized enough for dinner out on Saturday or church on Sunday with the mother-in-law. MB C55 AMG, anyone?

I currently own a 2004 e46 m3. Even though i love and adore my car it is really hard and expensive to increase the horsepower on the m3. all these other company’s are coming out with vehicles that are 300hp that can easily reach up to 450hp for example G35 and 350Z. i’ve seen what people do with supras, STI’s and other vehicles i can just imagine what people are gonna do when they manage to upgrade these turbos. In my opinion, people are definetly going to ask themselves whether a m3 is worth it or not. me personally i crave Horsepower, so im definetly thinking about it.

God, haven’t any of you Beemer owners ever looked out of your windows at the lights & seen how many Beemers there actually are! I mean every man and his dog’s got one, even people on state benefits drive around in them! Yet you can tell by the look on there faces that they think “god I look so exclusive”, “god people must think I’m rich”! At least when you see a bloke in something more original like an Audi, Saab or Lexus you get the feeling they might of bought it because they actually like instead of what other people might think!

I currently own a 2001 VW Jetta 1.8T Wolfsburg Edition
I am planning on selling it and saving up to grab this work of art. I Love BMWs and I love the 335 but something about it, it seems too classy and I expected a more aggressive look like the M3 or the spy shots I have been seeing before the release of the 335. anyway the point is I Love it and I plan on getting this in Jet Black with the 16-Spoke rims on the buildyourbmw site
I f’ing LOVE BMW!!!

Nice looking, but I’ll take a new Infiniti G35 sedan — it will have 306 normally aspirated horsepower — without a slapped-on turbo. And cost $5,000 less. That buys some awesome rims and tires.
