New spy photos from Auto News in Germany suggest Volkswagen may be in the early stages of prototyping for its much-rumored Golf SUV. The car appears to be a test mule for the Golf SUV underpinnings — essentially it looks like a jacked-up current-generation Golf Plus. Nothing can be ascertained from the photos, other than to confirm Volkswagen is working on a some type of Golf SUV/crossover. The 2008 Golf line (which is expected to include an SUV) is said to have drastically different styling from any current Golf. We’ll keep you posted as new information becomes available… [via]
