Volkswagen chose to feature customized versions of two of its newest models, the swoopy CC sedan and the efficient diesel Jetta TDI, at the industry-only SEMA show in Las Vegas. Not too surprisingly, the German automaker didn’t have any modified Routan minivans on display – and Leftlane didn’t see spokeswoman Brooke Shields, either.

The CC, which VW called its Eco Performance Concept, stood out from a standard CC thanks to a custom body kit with chrome black accents and “digital ghost” graphics throughout. That same theme continued inside, where Recaro leather seats, piano black trim and matte graphics spruced up the interior. Under its hood, the CC Eco Performance Concept received an APR Stage 3 Turbocharger that boosted its 2.0 liter four-cylinder to up to 311 horsepower and 313 lb-ft. of torque. The Turbocharger has three performance levels that give a little more power – with increased fuel consumption – depending on the level. In Eco mode, the CC puts out 222 horsepower and 236 lb-ft. of torque.

Underneath, the CC featured an H&R coil over suspension kit, 14 inch Brembo brakes up front and CC VR6 brakes out back. The CC rides on custom-designed 20 inch wheels.

The less-modified TDI Cup “Street” Concept showcased VW’s TDI Cup body kit, stickers and suspension and braking bits courtesy of VW’s European market parts bin.
