It would seem quite simple to simply load 3 different ECU versions and quickly switch from one to the other, or just modify a few parameters on the fly. Good thinking though, it should add nothing to the cost, but allow for power on demand, which I guess one could do if they knew how to drive correctly in the first place without the 3 modes... On a side note, I like the look of these cars. Finally VW has decided to go a little more aggressive in their design, because honestly, even the new R32 doesn't look all that compared with its purpose. The "eco" mode just helps save gas for those with a lead foot... it obviously sucks through it alot quicker at the highest power level. I think its a vast improvement in styling compared to the current Passat. The front of the CC looks sporty and stylish. So did are they saying that the Eco CC has 3 turbos on that engine? Not quite sure if i'm understanding the real purpose of that. Wish they had the GTI R concept there! Looking forward to seeing what that will look like once it hits production.
