Volkswagen teases T-Cross

So far, the small SUV has only been confirmed for Europe, China and South America.

Volkswagen has released a teaser sketch for the upcoming T-Cross crossover.

Based on VW Group's flexible MQB platform, the T-Cross will slot below the T-Roc and join the Tiguan, Tiguan Allspace and Touareg in the company's Euro-spec SUV lineup.

"'I am more than one thing' - that is the claim with the introduction of the T-Cross," VW says. "'More' is thus to be understood as a program: offering more, but nevertheless not costing more."

Despite its small size, the T-Cross can be configured for more rear legroom or cargo space via a sliding back seat.

More details will presumably surface ahead of an official debut this fall.

The T-Cross has been confirmed for Europe, China and South America, but not yet for US buyers.
