Volvo has announced pricing for its all-new 2010 XC90 T6 crossover. Starting at $37,900, the XC60 includes all-wheel-drive, leather upholstery, a power driver’s seat and Sirius satellite radio. The XC60 will also include a no-charge panoramic moonroof as an introductory offer for an unreleased number of early-production units.
That puts the XC60 a little above the Land Rover LR2 but a bit below the BMW X3 , two of its chief rivals. The XC60 will go on sale in March in the United States.
The XC60 will offer four option packages, the $1,000 Climate Package (heated seats front and rear, heated windshield washer nozzles, rain-sensing wipers, headlamp washers and an air quality system), the $2,700 Technology Package (a 650-watt Dynaudio audio system and DVD navigation with a park-assist camera), a $1,695 Collision Avoidance Package with Volvo ’s highly-vaunted Collsion Warning with Auto Break, and, finally, a $1,000 Convenience Package (grocery bag holder, park assist, power tailgate and Homelink).
A handful of stand-alone options are also available, including Xenon headlamps ($800); blind spot warning ($695); Personal Car Communicator with keyless drive ($550); and Nordic Oak wood trim $295). Then there’s the obligatory $825 destination charge, meaning that XC60s can be optioned up well into the upper-40s.
The XC60 also comes with three years’ scheduled maintenance in addition to a four-year, 50,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty.
