For me to consider a Volvo they would need to come in at a price point below Mazda because Mazda makes more entertaining vehicles of higher quality in every category.

Build the factory in Minnesota. The Volvo people will feel like they never left Sweden
Overall this is a good strategy as long as they keep the brand uniquely European.

Volvo will do even better if it will liberated from Ford. Sadly, this will not happen. We are observing SAABazation of Volvo.

it’s good they are thinking of building their cars here, more jobs for where ever they decide to build them, just hopefully not in mexico.
