Following closely on the heels of its hotter S60 R-Design model, Volvo has announced it is expanding the R-Design treatment to its V70 wagon. The move makes sense as the V70 is essentially an estate version of the S60 sedan.

Although the S60 R-Design boasts a more powerful 325 horsepower turbocharged inline-six, the V70 R-Design will be available with a number of different powertrains, including an economical 1.6L diesel.

The V70 R-Design sports a number of unique design cues, including LED turn indicators, 18-inch wheels and black leather interior with contrasting stitching.

Given the standard V70 is no longer sold on our shores, don’t expect to see the V70 R-Design at your local Volvo dealer.
