After making its world debut at the 2009 Frankfurt Motor Show, Volvo has announced pricing for its all-new C70 convertible model. Volvo’s newest product will carry a price of $41,650, which includes a destination charge of $850.
Although that’s $1,650 more than the outgoing model, Volvo says you get more bang for the buck with the 2011 model. The latest version of the C70 comes standard with a five-speed automatic transmission, Sirius Satellite Radio and “Sovereign Hide” leather trim, all features Volvo said would have tacked on $4,000 to the 2010 model.

The C70 is available with a number of options, including a Dynamic Trim package that adds 18-inch rollers, bi-xenon headlamps and a sports steering wheel. A $1,000 Convenience package is also available, mixing in features like a HomeLink garage door opener, rear park assist and a compass. Metallic paint ($550) and blind spot warning system ($700) are also available.

The decision process is much easier when it comes to the C70’s engine bay – just one engine is on offer for 2011, a 230 horsepower turbocharged five-cylinder.
