Though with the difference of $800 for a fully loaded S40 T5 AWD compared with a fully loaded G35x, only those looking to save $ on gas would choose the volvo. In a perfect world, there should either be XC30/XC60/XC90 or XC50/XC70/XC90.. but now it looks like they will have XC30/XC60/XC70/XC90. Now that the S80 has begat the new V70, I expect the S40/V50 replacements to be named S60/V50. Will the 5-door C30 be the next S40, or perhaps a V20? Who knows.. Im not sold on their present marketing plan and lineup, not to mention the recent announcement to cut dealers back does not give one confidence. New XC looks good, love the style of the new c30. Quality is good, safety record is impeccable and they make a great cold climate car. Having said that they need a little help in performance and interior style area.
