Although the future ownership of Volvo may be up in the air, it looks as though the Swedish automaker will continue to expand on its current lineup. And with gas prices a record highs worldwide, Volvo ’s future models promise to be greener than ever.
According to just-auto, Volvo is planning to launch three new diesel models in the fall, and will also introduce green cars to emerging markets such as China and Russia.
No word on which Volvo models will be receiving a diesel option – or if they we be available in the U.S. – but more information should become known in the coming months as Volvo prepares to launch the new models.
Volvo’s sales have been less-than-stellar in the past few months, prompting Volvo to cut 2,000 jobs.
