Polestar 1 goes drifting during cold-weather testing [Video]
The demonstration shows the hybrid car\'s torque vectoring system in action.
Volvo has released the first video of a Polestar 1 pre-production prototype in action.
The electric performance hybrid was deployed to the arctic circle in northern Sweden for several weeks of cold-weather testing, exposing the systems to temperatures as low as -18° F.
Drivers apparently focused on the Polestar 1's torque vectoring system, which benefits from two independent electric motors on the rear axles.
"We are now very confident about how [torque vectoring] enhances the Polestar 1's cornering responsiveness and accuracy," says Polestar chief Thomas Ingenlath.
The Polestar 1 is now heading to Beijing to be presented to the Chinese public for the first time.
