Volkswagen’s new up! city car, a model the brand anticipates will be its new people’s car for the mass market, is officially available for order in Europe beginning today.

up!, introduced in three-door configuration last month at the Frankfurt Motor Show, is probably not headed to the United States any time soon, but that doesn’t mean that European buyers don’t have plenty to look forward to.

Three trim levels and two special editions will be on offer, beginning at £7,995 in the United Kingdom market. That eight grand nets buyers a 1.0-liter engine, front and side airbags, a CD player and steel 14-inch wheels. For about £1,000 more, buyers can add quite a few goodies like a height-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, power front windows and remote central locking in the Move up!

An additional £360 adds a start/stop system, battery regeneration and low rolling resistance tires that increase fuel economy to a combined 67.2 mpg imperial and decrease emissions to 97 g/km of CO2.

The range-topping standard model, the High up!, starts at £10,390 and adds more power, heated seats, leather for its steering wheel and gear lever, an infotainment audio system and 15-inch alloy wheels. Two special editions, up! black and up! white come with their own special trim for £11,180.

Although the ordering books are open, VW won’t begin delivering up!s to buyers in the U.K. until early next year.
