Using information from sources close to the project, Hidden Image has developed a rendering of the next-generation VW Polo. The current Polo has been on the market since 2001 and is scheduled for replacement in 2009. In addition to just the all-new car, VW will also expand the Polo lineup.
The first Polo model to be introduced will be a coupe-like fastback five door, with a Polo van — based on the Skoda Roomster — bowing a year later. Traditional three and five-door models will also be available and will reportedly be available in the U.S. market.

Engines are expected to include a range of gas and diesels — no word if the diesel models will make it to the United States — but it remains unclear if a hybrid will be available.

Seat Ibiza

Spy photographers have also spotted the Seat Ibiza out for some cold weather testing. The new Seat Ibiza is the first creation by Seat’s new designer Luc Donkerwolke — formerly at Lamborghini and Skoda — but details on the newest Seat remain a mystery.
